CEP publishes articles on the key aspects of chemical engineering: Energy Transfer and Conversion; Environmental Protection; Fluids and Solids Handling; Materials; Measurement and Control; Safety; Reactions and Separations; as well as Professional Development, and Management. CEP's editorial focus can be summarized as follows: We strive to publish impartial, generic articles that provide some type of "how-to" guidance to the practicing chemical engineer, or an overview of some type of technology. We look for articles that focus on the general chemical engineering problem or situation and the generic method of solving that problem, rather than on what was done in a particular instance to solve a specific problem. We prefer articles that are broadly applicable throughout the chemical process industries (CPI), rather than limited to one or a few of the many industry segments.
