One of the most important journals for international medical research in gastroenterology. International contributors, Editorial Board, and distribution. Scandinavian Journal of Gastroenterology publishes research articles of high standard covering all aspects of digestive organs, not just within surgery and internal medicine. The editors welcome reports on all features of patient-oriented research and methodology, as well as cost-benefit evaluations, case reports, and biomedical basal research. Supplements may be accepted after editorial review. The influx of high-quality manuscripts is so large that the journal is only able to accept around 40% of submitted manuscripts. Based on peer review, the editors select articles of clinical relevance for presentation to the increasing number of subscribers. Published since 1966, this is a membership journal of the gastroenterologic societies of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. In addition to the original edition in English, Scandinavian Journal of Gastroenterology also publishes a Chinese edition.
